SUMMARY:Living with World Religions
DESCRIPTION:The Congregational Institute at Central Schwenkfelder Church is offering a week long accredited class\, Living with World Religions. In our nation\, we are being exposed to ever-greater religious diversity. As those wanting to be faithful\, Christians need to be sensitive to other faith viewpoints\, be clear about Christian distinctives\, and understand how to share the Christian perspective appropriately. \nOur lead instructor is Dr. Andrew Brunson who will speak about “Living with Islam.” Andrew and his wife\, Norine\, were involved in starting churches and a house of prayer\, training Christian leaders\, and providing aid to refugees in Turkey for 23 years. In October 2016\, Andrew Brunson was falsely accused on terrorism charges\, and was held for two years in Turkish prisons. \nOther instructors will address Living with Hinduism\, Buddhism\, Pluralism\, Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. On Wednesday evening\, Dr. Brunson will lead a special session from 6:30-9:00 on persecution. Please see our website for the schedule. \nParticipants can join us for one session or for the week. The class will be held at Central Schwenkfelder Church which is at 2111 South Valley Forge Road in Lansdale\, PA. One can join us in person or over Zoom. DESCRIPTION:Persecution of Christians is rising internationally. Could it take place in America? If so\, how can a Christian be prepared? \nIn this evening with Dr. Andrew Brunson\, we will hear his testimony of being imprisoned in Turkey for two years. He will then share some signs of persecution on the horizon and spiritual dangers ahead in America. From his experience\, Andrew will suggest means of preparation to stand\, focusing particularly on heart readiness. \nWe welcome anyone to this meeting.
