The Congregational Institute at Central Schwenkfelder Church is offering a week long accredited class, Living with World Religions. In our nation, we are being exposed to ever-greater religious diversity. As those wanting to be faithful, Christians need to be sensitive to other faith viewpoints, be clear about Christian distinctives, and understand how to share the Christian perspective appropriately.
Our lead instructor is Dr. Andrew Brunson who will speak about “Living with Islam.” Andrew and his wife, Norine, were involved in starting churches and a house of prayer, training Christian leaders, and providing aid to refugees in Turkey for 23 years. In October 2016, Andrew Brunson was falsely accused on terrorism charges, and was held for two years in Turkish prisons.
Other instructors will address Living with Hinduism, Buddhism, Pluralism, Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. On Wednesday evening, Dr. Brunson will lead a special session from 6:30-9:00 on persecution. Please see our website for the schedule.
