Fundraiser Planned to Support Mercersburg Man’s Cancer Treatment
A fundraiser pot pie meal to benefit a local man battling cancer, will be held Saturday, April 11, from 3 to 7 p.m., or until sold out, at First United Methodist Church, 11 North Fayette Street, Mercersburg. The meal will take place in the Fellowship Hall and will offer beef, ham, or chicken pot pie for dine-in or carry-out. All meals are by donation.
Proceeds will assist a local man diagnosed with Melanoma in 2024, and his family with medical and travel expenses related to ongoing cancer treatment at Mays Cancer Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The man and his family will remain in Texas for several weeks during treatment, traveling back and forth to Mercersburg as needed.
