Smooth-talking con man Harold Hill rolls into a sleepy Iowa town with a slick scheme: pose as a master bandleader (despite knowing zilch about music), convince parents to buy instruments and uniforms for their boys, and pocket the profits before skipping town.
But the plan hits a snag when the no-nonsense librarian Marian Paroo—sharp, skeptical, and stunning—starts seeing right through his charm. As Harold scrambles to keep the ruse alive, something unexpected happens: the townsfolk light up with newfound energy and joy, the kids find purpose, and Harold himself starts falling for the town… and especially for Marian.
